Posted by CaptRob on March 30, 2010 at 11:20 AM

Ahoy my friend. It is Tuesday morning. I posted this on our other Blog

http://www.piratelifestyle.com/apps/blog/

But I wanted to share this VERY personal situation with you.

Pirate Lifestyle TV - Episode 010 is uploaded and ready for viewing. I uploaded it yesterday, Monday.

This episode is very personal. I got FIRED yesterday, effective immediately, with NO explaination why?!?!?!?! So I just put it out there, my thoughts and plans.

Please watch and let me know what you think. What would you do in my situation?

2 1/2 years ago my fiancee and I were in Qeens, NY. Terry wanted to walk
her dog stormy ( looked a lot like Tiki ), a drunk driver came up on the side-
walk and killed Terry (never touched Stormy ) and devestated me. A year later I lost my job ( which I needed for stability ) which again hit me hard, last summer my little guardian angel died ( guardian angels do not always
have blond hair and long white robes and wings, sometimes they have a lot of white hair, four legs and a black nose ). Your website has helped me keep my dream alive, dont let it go. You have done an excellent job promoting sailing, live-aboard living which is to the benefit of any marina.
This could be your chance to move into a more lucrative field like advertising for marinas over the internet, you seem to have a loyal following on your website make sure your ex employer knows that there are some people who are not happy with their actions and who will never deal with this marina when ( not if ) they find out who they are.
Approach some other marinas in your area, use this website as an example to promote your ability to advertise their facilities nationwide. This could take you from $9.00 an hour to much much more. Don't give up your dream or your fighting spirit, you've got too many people rooting for you

Eric,
Tiki is a Maltese a little over 3 years.
Oh my gosh, what an awful story. Thank you for sharing it here.
I know it was a silly little job, but the way they let me go still hurts. I am working at developing a brand and future business. That is par of my long range plan. Maybe I need to move the plan closer to the present?
We are not giving up on living the liveaboard a sailboat dream. Too many good folks like you cheering and praying for us!
